Holly Metz - Introduction

          I am currently a nursing student here at Kent State University. This is my third year in college and I spend most of my time doing homework, studying, or napping. As a nursing major there isn't much time for partying and missing assignments are never an option to me. Though I do pretty well in my major, I have to admit that writing is something I am not very good at. In my major APA writing style is required for all assignments, so MLA can be a foreign territory for me. I enjoy expressing my opinions and view points when appropriate, but I also enjoy hearing view points from others. Though I enjoy expressing my thoughts; this happens to be the first blog I've ever written.  I would like to believe that I'm a very understanding and caring person.  I live in Kent with my roomate and my overweight orange cat named Oliver. I currently am unempolyed due to the work involved in excelling in my major. I like to go running when I feel a little stressed and the only books I read seem to be textbooks. I listen to a wide variety of music including just about every genre. When I was in highschool I was really involved in music and it has always been a passion of mine. My parents and brother live in Cleveland; which is were I happen to be from before moving to Kent. They are very proud of me and supportive. I see myself in the future finishing my nursing degree and possibly becoming a nurse midwife. When I graduate I hope to move out of state and travel. I always appreciate the small things in life and take absolutely nothing for granted. I try to turn every experience I have into an opportunity to learn and grow. I realize that I have a lot to learn when it comes to expressing my ideas on paper, but I'm sure that will change after this semester is over.
